Pool Cards:
You will need your access card to enter the pool. Please contact membership@kingscove.net if you do not have a card or have lost it.
Pool Hours
Daily 9:00am - 9:00pm
Lifeguard Hours (Lifeguard Duty Hours are subject to change, without notice, as always, swim at your own risk)
Pool Admission
Upon arrival at the pool, we ask that members and their guests display their Swim/Tennis card. Please remember to close the gate behind you so that the lock is secured at all times. Please do not share cards because each card is unique to the homeowner.
NonResident Members (Seasonal Pool Card Holders) are not allowed to bring guest(s). NonResident Members must adhere to the Kings Cove HOA Pool/Tennis Rules and Regulations.
No children younger than 14 will be allowed in the pool when a lifeguard or an adult is not present. NO solo swimming is allowed. The lifeguard has the right to send a child/children home who is not adhering to pool rules at all times.
A babysitter hired by a memberparent shall be at least 14 years in order to bring a child less than 10 years of age to the pool. The babysitter is considered part of the member’s family and the parent(s) will assume full responsibility.
THE LIFEGUARD IS NOT A BABYSITTER!
Behavior
The lifeguard will have full authority to dismiss from the pool any person who violates any of the rules stated herein. The lifeguard may dismiss anyone whose actions and/or behavior are offensive to others. The length of such dismissals will be at the discretion of the lifeguard. The lifeguard will inform the Kings Cove HOA of any chronic behavior problems.
Health and Safety
Parents of infants, toddlers and small children will devote their full attention to them at all times. Please understand that the lifeguard is responsible for ALL swimmers in the pool, not just young children. Children who cannot swim should have suitable flotation devices and constant parental supervision.
Children, younger than four (4) years of age and any child not potty trained must wear snug fitting plastic pants or a water resistant swim diaper in the swimming pool and surrounding areas. This is a Cobb County Health Code Requirement.
IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY, USE THE POOL PHONE TO CALL 911. THE POOL ADDRESS IS POSTED ABOVE THE POOL PHONE.
THERE WILL BE ZERO TOLERANCE FOR HORSEPLAY ON THE DIVING BOARD. THE RULES FOR THE DIVING BOARD WILL BE ENFORCED BY BOTH THE LIFEGUARD AND THE CAMERAS SURROUNDING THE POOL DECK. IF SEEN IN VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE RULES, YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM THE DIVING BOARD FOR THE REST OF THE POOL SEASON. PLEASE MAKE YOUR CHILDREN AWARE OF THESE RULES. IT IS FOR THEIR SAFETY ONCE AGAIN
General Information
Responsibility and Liability
There will be no lifeguard on duty during Cobb County school days. All persons using the pool do so at their own risk. An adult must accompany all children age 13 and under when there is no lifeguard on duty. Adherence to this rule is necessary to keep the pool open until 9.00pm throughout the season. All Kings Cove members and outside the community members release the Kings CoveHOA from any and all liability as is relates to the supervision of children and guests while using the Kings Cove pool. The Kings Cove HOA will not be responsible for the loss or damage to personal property.
Closing The Pool
PARENTS PLEASE BE PROACTIVE WHEN THUNDER OR LIGHTNING OCCURS WHEN THE LIFEGUARD IS OFF DUTY. PLEASE GET EVERYONE OUT OF THE POOL RIGHT AWAY. THIS IS FOR EVERYONE’S SAFETY.
The pool may be closed for health reasons or to rectify the water quality and will reopen when the pool is deemed safe.
In case of inclement weather, the lifeguard will not report until weather improves. If the weather becomes inclement during the day, the lifeguard will remain at the pool for one (1) hour before deciding whether the pool should closed for the day.

- Mondays - Thursdays: Swimming is at your own risk. Lifeguard will not be on duty
- Fridays: Lifeguard will be on duty from 4:00PM to 9:00PM
- Weekends (and holidays): Lifeguard will be on duty from 12:00PM to 9:00PM
- Cobb County school days: Swimming is at your own risk. Lifeguard will not be on duty

- When the pool is contaminated with fecal matter the Health Code requires the pool be closed for twenty four (24)
- NonCompliance to this health and safety requirement will result in the offender being asked to leave the pool If the pool closes as a result of this violation, the Swim & Tennis member family will be subject to fines up to the amount required to restore the pool to a usable condition.

- NO RUNNING IS PERMITTED. Only walking is permitted on the pool deck.
- NO BOISTEROUS OR ROUGH PLAY or any behavior in the pool premises that affects the safety of any person will be allowed.
- POOL GATE: The pool gate must remain closed at all times.
- NO SMOKING!!! Smoking is not permitted anywhere on Kings Cove property
- NO GLASS containers are allowed in the pool or pool deck area.
- NO FOOD allowed in the pool. This restriction includes chewing gum.
- HYGIENE: Persons with open sores, skin, nose or eye infections, or other communicable diseases/infections should not enter the pool or pool deck.
- SAFETY SWIM/ADULT SWIM: When a lifeguard is present, there is a ten (10) minute safety swim called each hour. During this period, only swimmers 18 years or older are allowed in the pool. All others must exit the pool. They cannot sit on the steps. The safety swim allows the lifeguard to check the condition of the water and to rest and rejuvenate. It is a great opportunity for the children to take a break, rest and have a snack or something to drink.
- NO SOLO SWIMMING is permitted (Cobb County Health Department regulation)
- NO ANIMALS OR PETS: Pets are prohibited from the pool deck, pool and tethered to the fencing.
- NO DIVING: No Jumping and/or Diving from the ladders, shallow sides of the pool.
- TRASH: Papers and refuse must be deposited in the trash bins provided around the pool deck.
- FENCE: DO NOT CLIMB THE FENCE! CAMERAS WILL SEE YOU AND YOU WILL BE PROSECUTED
- Alcohol is only permissible to adults 21 and over. It is not to be abused. The lifeguard and/or a Board Member reserve the right to revoke anyone’s use of alcohol at the pool if they feel it is not being handled in a responsible manner. No one under the influence of alcohol is permitted to swim.
- DIVING BOARD: Only one (1) person at a time is allowed on the diving board. No double bouncing, No backwards diving, No hanging on or under the board is permitted. This is for your safety. Last year there were several serious incidents that could have been avoided. There will be no swimming in the deep end, while the diving board is in use.

- THERE WILL BE NO PARTIES ALLOWED AT THE POOL
- Guests: One member is allowed to bring one guest. That member must accompany their guest at all times. If the member leaves, the guest must leave with them. (For example, a family of 4 can bring 4 guests as long all 4 members are at the pool. If 3 of the 4 family members are present at the pool, then that family can have 3 guests)
- Skateboards, scooters, bicycles and any other wheeled vehicles (with the exception of wheelchairs and strollers) should be kept in the designated area only. They are not to be used on the tennis courts or pool deck.
- All members must display their Swim & Tennis card when asked.
- The Swim & Tennis card is for your immediate family’s use. It is not to be given out to nonmembers for the use of our facilities.
- There is a charge of $25 to replace the Swim & Tennis card.
- Members must accompany their guests at all times. Guests must leave the pool at the same time as the members.
- Kings Cove residents who are not Full members of the association may not use the pool or tennis courts as a guest. Exceptions may include meetings and social events specifically designated by the Kings Cove HOA.
